Insulation!!

A few of shots of the greenhouse after insulating!

Already the temperature of the greenhouse is about 5-10 degrees above the outside temperature. This gap lessens overnight but i think it will beat a light frost.

Light into the greenhouse seems unafected, which is good, althoguh you can no longer see into it clearly from outside.

Bubble wrap is suspended an inch from the glass, to create an air pocket for added insulation.

Beginnings Of Insulation

I have ordered my insulation for the greenhouse today! Hopefully i will be able to get it assembled this week or next.

As a side winter-proofing plan i have started painting plastic containers black, and filling them with water.

The idea is that the black helps absorb light and heat, and the water stores this.

It then radiates this heat and helps average out the temperature.

No idea if it will work or help...
